It was a great pleasure doing business with Alex. His knowledge of the Prius has very much given us confidence that we went with the right decision on choosing his company to do business! Would highly recommend using him to other Prius owners.
Alex runs an efficient lean shop that, like the name says, is exclusively about hybrids. He knows them inside and out, down to the individual hybrid battery cell level. He diagnosed my former battery and found that at 130K miles, the individual hybrids cells were showing their age. (One should expect erosion from plates of metal sitting in baths of acid.) Alex was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and quite passionate about hybrid technologies. He worked quickly and diligently to change out my battery in under an hour for my Prius. For me, he offered two options. The first option was a less expensive in-house rebuilt battery pack with a one year warranty (which you can see those packs lined up on the shelves being prepared for the next customers). The other option was a Dorman battery pack, featuring the latest 3rd generation cells, with a three year warranty. I chose the second option as I intend to keep my car for a while. I happily and highly recommend this shop and wish them great success. Thank you, Alex!
My Dad first heard about "Exclusively Hybrid" last year on a radio talk show. At the time, the battery warranty was expired so he kept a mental note of the name. A couple weeks ago the engine light and message "Check Hybrid System" appeared on the dashboard. We drove the car to "Advance Auto Parts" for a free system analysis. The handheld computer device said "Deteriorating Hybrid Battery". We emailed "Exclusively Hybrid" with questions and all were answered promptly. Research was done and my Dad called and spoke to Alex the owner for more information. All his questions were answered in a professional manner to his satisfaction. Finally, Alex was given the green light to replace the battery. He came to our house and did an outstanding replacement in less time and for less money than other dealers who all quoted higher prices. Our 2007 Camry hybrid is running fine thanks to Alex and "Exclusively Hybrid".
Meant to write this months ago. My 2005 Prius is still running great! Alex has a couple of options, depending on how long you want to keep your Prius; all are much cheaper than going to Toyota! His operation is small and high tech. Alex is a perfectionist who takes pride in his work. Excellent service (dropped me off at Panera and picked me up--himself) and told me how to get more out of my car!
I had to replace my hybrid battery, called Alex one day and the next morning he was there. Had the battery in and the car running in less than an hour. He also pointed out that I needed an actuator as mine was buzzing every 15 seconds. He suggested I call Toyota so I called corporate and found my car is still under warranty for this part. So off to Toyota tomorrow. Car is running great with the new battery. I would recommend Alex 100%, he is very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to......A+ in my book.....
My 2010 Toyota Prius stopped running so I called my Toyota dealer to find out what to do. Since the car started again, I was able to drive it into the dealer. I was told to leave it over night and they would look at it the next day.Around noon the next day the service manager called to inform me that the hybrid battery was damaged and had to be replaced. The cost he said would be $3000.00 and it could be ready later that day. I called my wife to tell her the good news. She was quite upset, but told me to call this company called Exclusivley Hybrid and gave me the number.I called the number right away and spoke with Alex. I told Alex what had happened and he said that he was surprised at the $3000.00 bill, which he thought was quite fair, but then he asked me how old the car was and how many miles were on it. When I told him the car was a 2010 with 99,600 miles on it he said that the battery was still under factory warranty and I should receive a new battery at no cost to me at all. Alex told me to call the service manager back and ask him why I should have too pay for the new battery. I did this and was told by the manager he would get right back to me. About 15 minutes later he called me back telling me I would receive a new battery at no charge to me.I was so relieved and I just wanted to thank Alex for his help. It is so nice to see an honest and helpful company operating right in your own back yard. I highly recommend Exclusively Hybrid and Alex.Thank you so much.Jim DeweyJupiter
From the time I spoke with Alex on the phone to the moment I picked up my Prius, Alex was informative and honest about his services. He knows the Hybrid system inside and out and helps to educate his customers while taking care of their vehicles. I even needed a new tire to be replaced and Alex made that happen before I arrived. This is outstanding customer service and care like I have never seen. Alex actually cares about his customers needs; in addition to expert hybrid repair welcome customer service back to an entire new level with Exclusively Hybrid!
Happily recommend Alex at Exclusively Hybrid! My Prius battery died while driving to Miami. I slowly drove it to dealer after hours and left it. They called me with estimate of $3400. I searched online for options and found Exclusively Hybrid. Speaking with Alex he gave me a couple of choices with warranty. Since my Prius has 166,000 miles, I chose refurbished battery with 1 year warranty for $890 including installation! He installed battery quickly and I was up and running! Do the math! This is a no-brainer! Thanks Alex!
The brakes in my 2009 Prius had been buzzing for some time and I I had two oil changes in the last year at my Toyota dealership and no one could tell me why I was only averaging 36.1 MPG. They wanted $250 to try to diagnose what was causing the buzzing and their diagnostics showed everything was fine. When I pulled into Alex's shop, just from listening to my engine, he knew instantly it was the brake actuator. Alex worked with me to schedule the work in a timely manner so I would not be left without a car, discovered other issues that he repaired and charged probably 30% or less of what the dealership would have charged. When I drove my car home from Lake Park to Jupiter, my MPG was 44.5 (up from 36.1 which was the best I could get out of in over a year). I will never take my car anywhere else!!!
